Notice: SRF Public Meeting Information (November 19)

The Town of Mount Carmel will be hosting a Public Meeting following its next Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting to consider a Resolution authorizing acceptance of a loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program. Specifically, this CWSRF loan is for a Hurricane Helene Affected Community. It includes system-wide improvements (field assessment, data collection, system inventory, and assessment, and plans of improvement for the Town's 11 pump stations) subject to compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

Date: Thursday, November 19, 2026, following the regular Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting

Time: Discussion and hearing for this Agenda Item will begin after 6:00 p.m.  (Board Meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.)

Location: Town Hall, 100 Main Street E., Mount Carmel TN 37645

Project Title: Pump Station Improvements – Planning, Design, and Construction

SRF Loan Amount: $3,800,000 with $2,850,000 in Principal Forgiveness at an interest rate of 3.44% and a repayment period of 20 years. ($950,000 repayment)

There is no impact to current user rates and fees regarding the CWSRF loan.
