Our Mission
The Mount Carmel Fire Department is dedicated to providing swift, professional, and caring emergency services to every resident and visitor. We protect life, property, and the environment through prevention, preparedness, and response.
What We Do
• Fire suppression and rescue operations
• Response to vehicle accidents
• Mitigation of hazardous conditions
• Wildland and brush fire control
• Emergency medical response
• Mutual aid and support to neighboring agencies as needed

Swift response in rough or confined areas; helpful for search, access, medical rescue in remote or rugged locations. |
Staff & Structure
• Fire Chief: full-time leadership and daily oversight
• Part-Time Firefighters: Fire and medical response
• Volunteer Firefighters: backbone of response operations
• Station: centrally located to serve the Town efficiently
Standards & Readiness
• We strive to maintain and improve our ISO rating, meeting or exceeding state and national standards.
• Ongoing training in fire suppression, wildland fire tactics, emergency medical support, rescue, and hazardous materials.
• Community education: fire prevention outreach, smoke alarm installation / inspections, public safety programs.
