Mayor & Aldermen

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen serves as the legislative and policy-making body for the Town of Mount Carmel. The Board is composed of seven members,  elected to staggered four-year terms.  The Board is responsible for passing resolutions, enacting ordinances, adopting budgets, and setting strategic direction for the town. They also appoint a Town Manager who oversees daily operations and implements the Board’s policies.

The Board meets twice monthly:

  • Workshop Meetings: Held on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
  • Regular Meetings: Held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
