Budget

The fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. The budget process begins in January, with departments preparing their budgets through mid-February. This is followed by work sessions with administration and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

A draft budget is then presented to the Board. To be adopted, a balanced budget ordinance must be approved by the Board on two readings no later than June 30 of the current fiscal year.
