Notice: Invitation to Bid – Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements (Phase 1B)

The Town of Mount Carmel is now accepting sealed bids for the Waste Water Treatment Plant Improvements – Phase 1B project. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to improving public infrastructure and environmental services for our community.

Bids will be publicly opened and read immediately following the submission deadline.

🛠️ Project Summary:

This project involves upgrades to the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant in Hawkins County, including:

  • Restoration of Secondary Clarifier No. 1 with new mechanical components
  • Upgrades to the Plant Drainage Pump Station (PDPS), including new pumps, controls, and 6” piping
  • Replacement of existing blowers to meet current and future plant demands
  • Additional work: yard piping, site grading, concrete repairs, dredging, and support facilities

Instructions to Bidders:
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
All bidders must be licensed contractors in accordance with the provisions of the Tennessee Code Annotated §62-6-119. Each bidder shall provide the following information on the outside of the sealed bid envelope (or within the electronic bid submission, as applicable):
  • The contractor’s name, license number, license expiration date, and license classification; and
  • The same information for each subcontractor performing electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or masonry work when the total portion of such work is $25,000 or more.
Failure to provide this information in the proper location on the bid envelope (or electronic submission) shall result in the bid being disqualified and not considered for award.
